@HeymanHustle Teases A Brock Lesnar WWE Title Run On Twitter!

Hey. Just a little post about a tweet I saw from Twitter just then. I know the likes of NoDQ.com and PWMania.com might probably write something about this as well, but it’s a tease from Paul Heyman about the future of one BROCK LESNAR after Brock was asked a question by a fan @JerryWins123! Check it out down here…

heymantweet2
That’s one hell of a tease! Brock Lesnar as the WWE Champion? That is something I want to see. Seriously, I would love to have Lesnar conquering WWE as its champion. Although it’s unlikely, I’d love to see a long stint of Lesnar as champion. Being the dominant champion kicking everybody’s ass. That would be ratings right there!

Although, keep in mind, it’s JUST a tease. Heyman does these all the time if you follow him on Twitter. Right after the Wrestlemania 30 press conference just before WM 29, he teased The Rock vs Brock as the main event of Wrestlemania 30. And that might not even happen. Also, no reports have come out yet surrounding Brock Lesnar’s role in Wrestlemania 30, where he’s likely to return. Heyman’s just doing some slick hyping as usual.

I do hope this comes to fruition though. If there was one guy who’d I love to see champion again, it’d definitely be Brock Lesnar. Let’s hope WWE allows this little dream of mine to become reality!

WWE SPOILER – Big E Langston Turns Face At SmackDown! Taping?

‘Sup guys. TOM ROBINSON AS ALWAYS!

I do promise to upload my thoughts of RAW this week sometime. I haven’t done it yet, because I haven’t watched it yet! Honest to god, was way too busy for my own well-being yesterday! XD

Anyway, we’re not talking about RAW. We’re talking about SMACKDOWN! Now if I did spoil anything for you guys with this post,  I do apologize. But according to some reports, there was a BIG face turn at yesterday’s SmackDown! tapings. Let me refer to a quote from an article by NoDQ.com about the SmackDown! tapings.

Initially, the original NoDQ SmackDown! Taping results were uploaded. However, some “minor” details were missed out in the original post. A match that was aired on SmackDown! was a match between CM Punk and Big E Langston. Now, the report says:

“Apparently after the match was over, Paul Heyman, Curtis Axel and Ryback confronted Punk. After Heyman and Punk had some words, The Heyman Guys then attacked Punk. Langston then turned babyface and saved Punk. Langston also then took out Axel, which may be a setup to a possible match between the two at Hell in a Cell.”

Big_E_Langston_Raw

Big E Langston turning face? It’s been rumoured for months that this was going to go down but honestly, I wouldn’t believe it’d happening. Big E was rolling along just fine as a heel, and there was real no need to do the turn. And this turn seems so abrupt in my opinion. I mean Big E seemed to break off from AJ, spend about a couple of months doing nothing and then all of sudden he turns face against the Paul Heyman guys? The turn had no context to it at all. If Big E had turned face on AJ before they split up, that would have made sense. But again, WWE hit the TURN button and turned another mid-card superstar after only a short period… AGAIN.

Why? Why do WWE feel the need to turn wrestlers face or heel so early? I mean it’s not healthy for the superstars’ character when they just get their allegiances changed wily-nilly. I mean so many turns have taken place in 2013. You don’t believe me? Ahem…..

Ryback: Heel Turn – Night After Wrestlemania 29

Dolph Ziggler: Face Turn – Payback

Alberto Del Rio: Heel Turn – Payback

CM Punk: Face Turn – Payback

Cody Rhodes: Face Turn – Money In The Bank

Mark Henry: Face Turn -Just after Money In The Bank

Layla: Face Turn – Just after Money In The Bank

Big Show: Face Turn – Just before Summerslam

Triple H: Heel Turn – Summerslam

Randy Orton: Heel Turn – Summerslam

Prime Time Players: Face Turn – Just After Summerslam I think

The Bella Twins: Face Turn – After Night Of Champions

I’m sure they’re many more turns that have happened in WWE, but we’re here to talk about Big E Langston. More importantly, we’re going to talk about why Big E Langston turning face will NOT work.

I mean Big E Langston is similar to Ezekiel Jackson and look how his face turn in 2011 turned out. He went… absolutely nowhere. Sure Big E could beat Curtis Axel and become Intercontinental Champion judging by how the report reads, but how’s that going to make a difference. Ezekiel won the IC title right after he turned face and he was like the worst IC Champion in the last 5 years. I think with how Big E’s momentum has dropped in the last couple of months, a championship victory over someone that’s been massively downgraded in the last couple of months like Curtis Axel won’t do the title the justice it deserves.

BUT….

Big E Langston was a face NXT Champion and he showed at NXT that he was a very entertaining talker and champion. I mean the fans were behind him in NXT and his “five” gimmick got him over fast. I know he’s not a natural born promo-cutter, but let’s be honest – when he talks, you laugh! XD

I mean he’s entertaining as fuck! Big E is someone I can get behind as a face and he could be a legitimate money-maker if WWE push him right.

So in my opinion, this face turn has all the capabilities to go both good and bad. The timing is a little off-putting but he’s proven in NXT that he can get over as a face. I think this could be good for him in the short-term, but the long term… I don’t seem him going far as a face. But I dare WWE and Big E to prove me wrong. I WANT WWE and Big E to prove me wrong because we have the next Scott Steiner right here! Not exactly the guy with the golden tongue who can put 10 minute epic promos, but one HELL of a talker nevertheless! I just want to see Big E get mic time a lot more often! FIVE!

Lastly, I just want to do some plugging to a couple of things I got going:

New Details On WWE 2K14’s “The Streak” Mode

‘Sup guys. Tom Robinson.

And we’re quickly going to look at these new details coming in off the new WWE game, WWE 2K14. So far, we’re in the middle of the character’s entrances and finishers being released of WWE 2K14 by 2K Sports. To get a glimpse of the gameplay and stuff. We’ve also been detailed about the new “30 years of Wrestlemania” mode which you go through an endless amount of Wrestlemania moments from the first WM to the most recent. But one thing has been announced that we’ve not really known a lot about is the “Defend The Streak” and “Defeat The Streak” modes.

Defeat_The_Streak_3

Now, WWE have released a press release, which you can see down below:

http://www.wwe.com/inside/2k/wwe-2k14/wwe-2k14-the-streak-mode-revealed-26155597

Firstly with the DEFEND THE STREAK mode

The article says: “With “Defend The Streak,” players will take the reins as The Undertaker himself and battle wave after wave of opponents at The Show of Shows. Also available in Exhibition Mode as “The Slobberknocker,” this gauntlet match-like mode challenges players to see how many opponents they can take out, one after another.”

I do approve the return of the Slobberknocker mode. This was easily one of the most fun modes of the old WWE games. Just fighting off wrestler, after wrestler. It was really a great way to test yourselve as a WWE gamer to see how long you can go without getting beat. I love how they brought it back and kept it within the Wrestlemania theme by having Undertaker be given his own slobberknocker mode. It’s reallly cool and we’ll have have fun with the returning slobber-knocker.

Next up… the DEFEAT THE STREAK mode

The article says: “In “Defeat The Streak,” players will be faced with the daunting task of challenging The Undertaker in his domain upon The Grandest Stage of Them All, a stage The Deadman has dominated for more than two decades. According to Ledesma, pinning The Deadman will be no easy task, as 2K’s developers have cranked it up to an off-the-charts fifth difficulty level that will incorporate supernatural elements to mirror The Undertaker’s near-mythic WrestleMania aura.”

You know what? Love it. It’s not the case of just wrestling the Undertaker on a Wrestlemania stage. 2K are wanting the gamers to be driven mad by the insane difficultly of the mode. So much so, that nearly every game has to rush on the internet to look up what to do. That’s what a game should allow you to do. If gamers play this mode and get the urge to throw their controller at the TV, then 2K Sports are doing something right. 🙂

So yeah, two really cool modes added to the game. Also wanted to talk about Universe Mode and the improvements there…

Universe Mode 4.0 – Not exactly much different but to be honest, Universe Mode has never really needed improving, with the exception of the slight tweak. It brings in rivalry mode between certain superstars and you can adjust how long they feud. It incorporates a bit of the old GM Mode from the SVR games into the Universe Mode, which I don’t have a problem with because GM Mode was awesome. You can create an all divas show, which might be cool for anyone wanting to all diva leagues. I probably wouldn’t ever do it, but there are a gamers out there, especially girls, who might look at this feature and think, “that’s actually something I want to do”. It’s good that 2K are giving the gamers this option.

And Finally….

100 CREATE A WRESTLER (CAW) SLOTS! YES! I will have so much fun with all of these spots. Just so many room for activities! XD

So yeah. That was that my thoughts on the new modes being announced. Tom Robinson hitting you with some blogging about WWE 2K14. Totally going to love this game!

Bray Wyatt Gets Injured At A Live Show… How Badly Will This Affect The Wyatt Family?

Sup guys, I’m Tom Robinson with a little blog post on the reports that Bray Wyatt injured himself during a live event.

Allow me to elaborate and show you the quotes from this article from PWMania.com. These are the accounts of how he initially got the injury. The article says:

“The injury occurred is that he chased Darren Young outside of the ring and went down hard, leading to a quick match finish and the dreaded “X” symbol by the referee. Wyatt may have ran into the barricade or tripped over part of the railing. Another fan noted he injured himself jumping off the apron and fell into part of the railing.”

Also according to the report:

“PWMania.com reader Matt Grace sent word that he was standing outside as the wrestlers were leaving the building at the Dunkin Donuts Center Saturday night in Providence, Rhode Island and stated that Bray Wyatt left on crutches. Wyatt looked as if he couldn’t put much weight on his injured leg.”

TheWyattFamily

Things don’t look good, but obviously wrestling reports do have a tendency to exaggerate the seriousness of injuries. Obviously, the John Cena injury’s seriousness is a perfect example (I still feel he needs to rest up a little longer before coming back). So it may end up being nothing… a minor injury that only needs like 2-4 weeks for him to recover. But of course, it could be big.

So that begs the question, if our worst fears are confirmed, how badly will this affect the Wyatt Family storyline. So far, it’s gone rather well. Not exactly made a big impact yet, other than taking Kane out. But they still look strong and they are still over with the fans. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper went a couple of months injured before being beating this past week on SmackDown! by Goldust and Cody Rhodes. So this will have an affect when the leader of the stable gets injured…. but it wouldn’t necessarily be the end of the world.

He could still theoretically be featured on WWE Television despite being injured acting as a manager to the tag team of Rowan and Harper. Pretty much doing what he’s done a lot since they arrived on RAW. Just as long as he’s not being used actively Rocking on his wheelchair watching the two beat the hell out the opponents. And when he comes back, he gets in on the attacks.

But do WWE really want to have Bray just sitting there for the next couple of months while he’s recuperating? Or would they rather he just be taken off TV to recover? Well if that’s the case, then it’s bad for Harper and Rowan. Because it’s not like they can keep themselves without Bray. Bray is the key behind the stable. He’s the guy doing the talking. The shepherd of the flock. I mean, you can’t have Bray without Harper and Rowan, or Harper and Rowan without Bray Wyatt. So they could just take the entire stable off of TV until Bray gets better.

I know this isn’t a popular decision, but it could play off brilliantly. My ideal situation to getting the Wyatts off of TV is involving the returning Kane, who’s finished filming See No Evil 2 and is expected to come back soon. I think they should Kane come back and be in a HUGE RAGE. Have him attacking everyone on the roster looking for the Wyatts. And then after a bit, Bray cuts a promo saying he’s succeeded in unleashing the monster that’s been hiding away inside Kane for so long and yet been truly unleashed in so long. Bray says he’s just going to go back and watch his monster unleash havoc and when the time is right, will put down the mad dog for good. Something like that taking credit for creating the monstrous Kane and leaving… like a boss!

Or they could just have Kane attack Bray, but I don’t think it’ll be that good for Bray if Kane comes back and beats him up as an excuse to get him off television. They could have Bray sacrificing himself to Kane instead. Remember that Bray is supposed to be this mad-as-a-hatter character and it would fit his character for him to sacrifice himself. And that beating itself could spark off the Monster-Kane storyline I mentioned above and Bray taking credit for unleashing the monster within him.

So the way I see it, if Bray’s injury is serious take him, Harper and Rowan off TV by having him turn Kane into a monster. If the injury is not to bad, then just have him managing Rowan and Harper as usual. But I don’t think it’ll hurt the group tOo badly depending on how they write Bray Wyatt  off of TV. And I hope it doesn’t. The group as a lot of potential to go far.

So yeah. That was the blog post for the Armbar Express. I’m Tom Robinson. I did an article on Wade Barrett for WhatCulture! The link is below:
